BioCity Nottingham was made possible by a huge donation of laboratory and office buildings and equipment from BASF to Nottingham Trent University in 2001 (in what is believed to be the largest ever corporate donation to a new university).
BioCity is a success story of partnership and co-operation and is the result of an effective collaboration between Nottingham Trent University, The University of Nottingham and the East Midlands Development Agency.
BioCity has also received funding support from DTI, ERDF and Greater Nottingham Partnership.
